The Citywide Tree Planting Strategy Advisory Committee will work closely with Parks to provide input to provide input. The committee will meet five times from June through October 2017 and will assist with:
  • Identifying barriers to tree planting for low income communities
  • Providing recommendations on how to work with communities to plant trees and gain support, with special attention to communities of color and low income communities
  • Reviewing City bureau and public agency priorities around tree planting
  • Reviewing a prioritization data tool for selecting tree planting sites
